I find it interesting that Sam struggled against being a hunter for so long, and now he’s trying to talk people into sticking with it.
Dean would be encouraging her to go.
Sounds like they flipped the script. Sam has finally decided to give in and accept his fate. Dean finally sees what Sam wanted all that time ago, even going so far as to letting Sam take charge. It’s a big step.
They’ve really stuck to that with Sam, especially after Mary came back and Sam said that he was happy with his life helping people as a hunter. He really believes that, and they keep showing it. I absolutely love that character development in him.
