Yes, it is a commission by @winchester-reload for one of my fics, An Accidental Incubus, and the link is right here. 

Based on the new guidelines, since this image doesn’t contain genitals, and it does not actively portray the act of sex, it will not be deleted by me. Should staff come after it, I’ll be fighting it.

Very true. I have this art posted with my fic links as well, and I will fight to keep that post up. The concern is that Tumblr is going to do what most other places do, and expand their “guidelines” for what is unacceptable over time. And LGBTQ+ content is usually the first to go. Nothing on my site will be leaving, and if it’s forced off, I’ll fight back. 

Blaming content creators for Tumblr’s failure to attract the ad revenue they want is going to do nothing good in the long run until the site shuts its doors, or they re-brand as something totally different, and we’re all run off anyway.

But in the meantime, I don’t plan on leaving or letting them take down my content that isn’t in violation of anything.

If you haven’t seen, Tumblr being the site that it is, is throwing itself overboard. They’ve done a lot of stuff since being bought by Yahoo! that has harmed fandom in general, but this could very well be the last nail in the coffin. And I saw that as someone who hasn’t worried much at all over past changes.

Here they have announced that they’re getting rid of all NSFW content.

Now, on the one hand, they have specifically singled out videos, gifs, and images that depict explicit content. There’s nothing about written NSFW content. However, we’ve seen how bad the staff is at purging, and no doubt this is one of the ways that they’re trying to talk around their failure at reducing the porn-bots in recent weeks.

Just to be on the safe side, and knowing that a lot of you might be on a (rightful) mass exodus out of here, I have set up the following accounts for you to follow, if you’d like to keep up with my content. For now, Pillowfort and WordPress are mirrors of this site, but if I leave here, or get deleted, Pillowfort will me my go-to first stop, hopefully. Their site is down for security updates, but they’ll be back up soon.

I was talking with a coworker who asked me when I realized I wasn’t straight. I actually paused at that because I didn’t really know. I mean, I came out in middle school, but it wasn’t much of a realization. More of a, “someone told me about sexuality.”

My coworker was pretty intrigued about that. He said, “you don’t remember having your first crush on someone of the same sex?”

And, of course I remembered that. However, I also remember not thinking anything was strange about it. It wasn’t until I got a little older that I learned that there were different sexualities.

Now I’m wondering if that was a normal thing. Lots of people talk about the “lightning bolt moment,” but I never had that. Since then I’ve had a lot more questioning, only really knowing that I’m not straight.

So earlier I reblogged that post about why some people read smut and I put in the tags that there are times the smut is so good that it doesn’t turn me on, but it’s more like emotional edging.  To expand on that, these scenes leave me physically buzzing all over, inside and out.  I imagine it might be close to what subspace feels like, although I can’t say from experience, sadly lol.  But this particular feeling leaves me floaty and sensitive for hours.  It’s very nice.

You know, the more I think about it, the car Castiel is driving has to be product placement. How did he afford it, though? I know you can’t hotwire it in the only way the Winchesters seem to be able to on classic older models. And if he did steal it, it can be tracked off of a lot.

That product placement has created a plot mystery/hole that’s actually bugging the shit out of me.

The car probably was product placement, all shows do it whether it’s obvious or not.

My thought was Cas rented a car. Why would he purchase one? Why would he steal one? Those are the plots of days gone by.

Oof, bad sitch. If Lucifer legit comes back my respect points would drop to zero and I don’t think I’d pick the show back up. Unless Gabriel comes back to life with him, because Gabriel. I hope Meredith fixes it and makes a good episode! And happy early birthday!

I’m going to stick with the show because there are other good points about it that I support. But it sure does get tiresome to deal with all the crap that doesn’t need to be there. No show is perfect, of course, but it’s really disheartening to see how much clout 2 singular people are allowed to do when everyone else is telling them it’s bringing the whole narrative down.
