ltleflrt:

So it’s stupid o’clock in the morning, and @jupiterjames and I go downstairs to get coffee and visit the casino so she can have a cigarette.  We sit down at a couple slot machines while she smokes, and we’re talking about how awesome Sam Smith is, when this gorgeous guy walks over and says hi and sits down with us and asks us if we like Sweden.

OF COURSE we love Sweden, it’s full of beautiful people like this drunk man who’s double fisting beer at 7am and flirting with two women who are rumpled and still wearing pajamas.  He was funny and nice, and his accent was thick, and talking to him this morning was a great way to start the day 😀

Las Vegas is a magical place. *happy sigh*

Hey, everyone and the anons that have been sending me asks in light of the post I made about my kid’s first grade active shooter training the other day. And I need to say this: I’m not going to make it into a “why” thing.

Honestly? I don’t care why this guy, or any other serial killer decides to gun down children. Why is so not on my radar.

I do not give a shit why. What I do care about is that all the media and the government is doing right now is trying to turn the discussion away from “only gun control can help stop this,” to “let’s make another serial killer famous by picking his motivations and life apart thereby stopping the talk of the real problem and inspiring more serial killers to fame.”

Here’s the deal. I’ll talk about why once there’s an actual reason for neither me nor my daughter to fear dropping her off at school every day. Once the millions of children in this country are actually safer in their classrooms and Congress stops letting them get killed so easily, then we’ll talk why.

And I do apologize to the rest of you who are here for fandom stuff only. We’re getting back to that now.
