His usual routine is thrown for a loop when he finds himself having to share his usual ice rink with the Kansas Hunters, and he comes face to face with the team captain and the greenest eyes Castiel has ever seen. Dean Winchester isn’t the least bit shy about his attempts to get to know Castiel, and Castiel isn’t quite sure why he’s finding it so easy to get close to Dean. But maybe, Dean Winchester, local NHL celebrity, will be the one to breakdown the guard that Castiel has had up for so long.

Misha’s Not in Vancouver Anymore by @cocklesheadboop (on AO3) An accident on set results in Misha ending up in the SPN!Verse and stuck with a confused and irritated Dean Winchester. Dean, Sam, and Castiel have to work together to find a way to send him back. Misha’s cheekiness brings to light the things that Dean only ever thinks about in the space between waking and dreaming.
The Walk by @ibelieveinthelittletreetopper (on AO3) Dean’s been living on the streets and turning tricks for a while. Most of the time clients just find him. After a job goes wrong he goes looking for work and finds more than he expected with a married man of faith with blue eyes and a trench coat. Castiel tells himself it was a one time thing, even if his night with a hooker named Dean changed his whole world, but he can’t keep away from the man fate keeps throwing in his path. Castiel is married and he knows his sexuality is an affront to God and everything he’s ever been told is right. Dean tells himself he doesn’t care about the weirdo with blue eyes, but every time they meet he gets a bit closer to something like hope. Dean’s nothing but a homeless waste of space with a brother in foster care a world away and a father in the wind. As the connection between these two lost men deepens, it threatens the carefully maintained lies their lives are built on in a story of faith, mistakes, and the journey of love.
An Accidental Incubus by @jupiterjames (on AO3) On a hunt gone wrong, Dean finds himself cursed to be an incubus. While Sam and Charlie rush to find a cure before the change is permanent, Castiel decides to become Dean’s “offering” when the hunter begins to deteriorate under the effects of the change.
Partnered by @thebloggerbloggerfun (on AO3) Dean didn’t think that his life as a detective could get much worse after Castiel was promoted to lieutenant. Castiel was a stickler for the rules, had no sense of humour, and never seemed to give Dean a break, even though they used to be partners. But then, despite all of their questionable history, the two are asked to go undercover on a case in the wealthy suburbs of California… as a married couple.

And even though Ianto knows the mechanics of the atmospheric forces at work as the winds howl outside, he doesn’t know how to explain it in a way that Vanya’s going to either understand or feel better about.

SO THE HOT GUY AT WORK WAS TALKING TO ME THIS MORNING BECAUSE WE HAD VERY LITTLE TO DO AND HE SAYS, “so I just caught up on Supernatural. You watch that, right?” AND I NEED Y’ALL TO UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH PHYSICAL EXERTION IT TOOK TO ACT NORMAL ABOUT THAT. And then we got to talking about Jurassic Park and in my mind I was all, “I need to look up the policy on workplace romance.”
Current word count for the year: 216,255 just for Ao3. What the fuck. This isn’t counting the drabbles and commissions which will probably add another 20K or more. Holy shit.

Story I’m most proud of: Protect and Serve. Not just because it’s my longest fic ever, but because it went exactly how I planned and the response was incredible.
My second proudest story ever: I have a hard time choosing. But I love all the oneshots I get to do for @winchester-reload.
What’s ahead: The commission fics I’ve been working on. And another long AU that I’m keeping under wraps until I’ve fleshed some of it out more. But it’s going to be awesome!

I’m not sure who of you who asked for commission fics follows me here, but just in case, here’s the update!
Half of you have received your rough drafts. I have filled the prompts in the order that they were given to me to be fair, and the rest are on their way. I’m not exactly sure how soon you’ll be getting them because most of the remaining ones are 5K prompts. On a good day, 5K takes me 2-3 days to write.
But I have been working diligently on them, every single day in every single free moment that I have.

Yes, I most certainly do! A few stick out in my mind. 2 specifically revolving around Dragon Con.
1) Meeting Carrie Fisher
She was amazing. She was a very kind, forward, take no shit, generous person. Y’all might know that she was pretty famous around the conventions of putting glitter on people. So, I’m working crowd control and backstage, and at that point in the weekend, I have no clue what panel I’m even working. Like, I was given time, room, I was there. Exhausted. Carrie Fisher walks up. Stands right in front of me. I’m not expecting it, so I stand there staring. She has a jar of glitter, and she says to me, “women like you in spaces like this are important.” Then she paints two racing stripes down the side of my face, and walks under the curtain for her panel.
2) Meeting Stan Lee
I don’t even have a story. I teared up, handed him my Iron Man comic to sign, and was so overcome I couldn’t say a damn thing. But as I was leaving I managed to say, “your comics turned me into the geek I am, thank you.” And he said, “me, too, Sunflower.”
3) Meeting Benedict Cumberbatch
This was random. He was in town filming the Avengers near where I worked. I was cutting through the underground mall early in the morning to get to work, and stopped for coffee. I turn around and literally run into him. I don’t say sorry. I’m so shocked, I say, “holy shit, Doctor Strange! You’re my favorite!” And he grabs my arms and grins and says, “no one says that! Did you hear that guys, I’m her favorite! No one says that!”

I asked them to, “squeeze the shit outta me, please,” and Jared lifted me off my feet and I had Jensen against my back, and I couldn’t breathe, and it was the best 10 seconds of my life. Then I burst into tears, snot crying like, 10 minutes later. It was such bliss. XD
