15. Does their view of themselves differ from their partner’s view?

Man. hahaha. Yes.  As near as I can tell, Vanya thinks Ianto is Bill Nye, Buckaroo Banzai and “that man from the music video who screams ‘Science’. I do not know who he is, but I think he’s important, yes?” in a really hot, wonderful body. Ianto is of course a giant nerd with a good haircut. OTOH, I *suspect* Ianto thinks he’s acquired a fun-sized John Wick with a flannel fetish, but in reality, Vanya is also a giant nerd, just in a different way, and with a profound terror of bears.

17. Their ways of expressing their love.

Vanya actually says “i love you” until he realises that Ianto has been learning russian and figured it out, after that, he’s too embarassed.  But he finds other, practical ways to say it that involve fixing Ianto tea, making sure the dishwasher always works, the oil in the car is changed, and occasionally throwing himself in front of a bullet for His Professor.

As soon as Ianto figured out that Vanya’s various levels of frowning actually meant he was deliriously happy, he set about tracking that and doing things like taking him out for ice cream, Disneyland and making suitcase bombs to save his stupid ass.

21. Personally, do you think they are a good couple? 

Ok, look. This started off as a “hahaha, look this is so funny” thing between me and JJ- what with Ianto’s anal-retentiveness and Vanya’s clear disregard for the laws of physics and their shared obsession with Kaidan Alenko.

NEVER CRACKSHIP SOMETHING UNLESS YOU’RE PREPARED FOR THE CONSEQUENCES, MAN. They took to each other like nitro and glycerin, and literally said “OK We live here now.”

tl;dr they’re best couple – and we never planned it.

30. How does their love change as they get older?

Marginally less explosions and car chases, I hope.

Truth on all and mostly on the be prepared for the crackship to become the best ship. Like. If Ianto and Vanya can make it work, literally any pairing can.
